A plan may be simply described as one’s intention to do
something. It provides a guide for what you intend to achieve. When you put up
realistic methods and procedures on how you will go about achieving your
intention, your plan could be said to be organized. That means you do not just
have a plan but you know how the plan will come alive.
Important points to Note about Plans
·
If you are engaged in an undertaking of some
crucial importance, ensure that you have an almost faultless plan in order to
be sure of success
·
You must have the advantage of education,
experience and native ability to execute your plan
·
If the first plan which you have adopted does
not seem to work out successfully, replace that with a new plan. If this new
plan also fails to achieve the desired result, replace it in turn with another
until you find a plan which will work!
·
The most intelligent man living cannot succeed
in any endeavor without plans which are workable and practicable
Bear in mind that when your plans fail, the temporary defeat
does not imply a perfect failure, it simply means that your plan was not good
enough to achieve your intended purpose; then begin to work on your plans all over
again. Often times a lot of people meet failure due to lack of persistence in
creating new plans replace those plans that did not work
Organized panning means that the planner knows where he is
going and he has a map on how to get there. It also means that if for any
reason that map fails to guide him correctly to that desired destination, then
that map is the wrong map and unless that wrong map is discarded and the
correct map drawn up he will never get to his destination. This is sheer common
sense! You cannot hold and use a map that leads to Nigeria and end up in
Tanzania!
Thought: It does
not matter how far you travel on the wrong route, you will never get to your
rightful desired destination. So if the map is accurate, it’s only a time
factor, you will unfailingly get there
Tips on How do to know that your plan is organized
1.
An organized plan has the name of what it is
intended for; it has an inert life waiting to exist
2.
The plan has descriptive features
3.
The planner can tell that he has reached his
destination when gets there. This is because if you do not have a vivid
description of where you are going; you will not know when you are there. You might
even go past the place or begin an entirely wrong path in a different direction
not related to your intended location.
4.
An organized plan is often devoid of vague assumptions.
It usually contains facts, removes sentiments. It is flexible, and the planner
is willing to shift grounds, take corrections and make intelligent changes as
the need arises
Finally, before a plan is discarded, ensure that you have
provided an alternative plan that is better than that one. An intelligent thing
to do to an existing plan is to make adjustments in order to keep it up to date
and to keep you focused in achieving your goal
